Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Client to find out their exact event requirements.
  • Supervise and oversee staff members on an event.
  • Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
  • Ensure excellent customer service.
  • Identify duties and effectively delegate these to staff for example- demonstrate a lay-up process or break-down process.
  • Manage a team of staff, giving full briefings up to 50 staff members.
  • Knowledge of service plans including making amendments if necessary.
  • Full understanding of menus including allergens and confident relaying information to staff and guests.
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently.
  • Knowledge of event service, running a pass in a kitchen or floor.
  • Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed.
  • Produce post-event evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Hospitality Manager/ Supervisor (Previous experience on CV or via completed shifts with Host)
  • Exceptional knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate well with staff.
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Smart, polite, professional and always well presented.
  • Great time management and prioritising.
  • Demonstrate a passion for quality and service standards.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent customer service skills/ the ability to assist with customer queries/complaints and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
