Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer, it depends from event to event, the client, the accommodation we are using and what you usually use on a day to day basis.
You will receive an email from a consultant informing you what you need to bring specific to the event you are working.
Due to the nature of work we offer, our teams booked for these events changes often so you will likely receive this email 2-3 days ahead.
You can bring:
- Your Uniform - The required uniform will be displayed in the app. We recommend you also bring a couple of spare Shirts & Trousers just in case.
- Mobile Phone - our onsite rep will provide you with their number so you can contact them in emergencies.
- Medical kit - with aspirin (or a similar pain reliever), antihistamine for relief from allergies or insect bites, sunscreen, lip balm, insect repellent and any other personal medication you may need.
- Toiletries - including toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash, contact lenses and solution.
- Chargers - for your electronics.
- Towels
- Other Clothing (keep in mind the season) - a lot of staff like to go out for dinner/ drinks after work or for down time in the evenings.
- Books, music and other entertainment for long travel and ‘down time’.
- Money - usually there are local supermarkets so you can buy food for dinner/ breakfast/ snacks.
- Umbrella or raincoat - if needed.
- Sleeping bag or blanket - If bedding is not provided, or you tend to feel the cold.
Goodwood Events:
Accommodation is only provided at Goodwood for staff that start at 6am. We are usually accommodated in the University of Portsmouth or the University of Chichester Student Halls - however this may vary depending on availability (check your email).
The accommodation for Goodwood staff comes with bedding and towels provided.
All Transport will be provided for the duration of the event.
Silverstone Formula 1:
We only provide accommodation for Silverstone for staff travelling from Guildford. The only accommodation available at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix is camping.
If you are camping at Silverstone please make sure you bring your own tent and any other camping equipment you require. There are limited plug sockets onsite so portable chargers are essential!
There are showers available at the campsite.
The campsite is Windmill Farm Campsite, 14 Whittlebury Rd, Silverstone, Towcester NN12 8UD.
You will need to sort your own transport if you are camping at Silverstone.
Festivals:
If you are working at a festival with Host staffing you will be need to you bring your own tents and any other camping equipment you require. There are limited plug sockets onsite so portable chargers are essential.
There are showers available at the campsite.
We advise you do not bring valuables to the shifts, any valuables you do bring are left at your own risk.
