One of the main benefits of Host staffing is that you only work when and where you want to work. Simply open the Host App to see which events are coming up that you are eligible to work.
Shift times will vary from event to event. The hours you will be expected to work will be clearly outlined in your work schedule and confirmation email. Due to the nature of work, your shift timings may change from when you initially booked in. You will be notified of shift time changes either by text or email.
After you have signed in for your shift you will be required to work for a minimum of 4 hours. Please be aware that we try to advertise shifts as accurately as possible. However, your finish time may vary depending on the demands of the event.
If you arrive in the correct uniform ready to work at your designated start time and are unable to be signed into the event due to no fault of your own, then you will be entitled to 4 hours pay. Likewise, if you are at work and sent away having worked less than 4 hours, due to no fault of your own, you will receive 4 hours pay in total.
If you are sent home before you have worked for 4 hours due to misconduct or sickness you will only be paid for the hours, you have worked and are not entitled to the 4-hour minimum.
If you arrive late to your shift/ are not ready to start work at your requested start time, or you arrive dressed in the incorrect uniform the client has the right to send you away from your shift without pay. We recommend you plan to arrive to shifts 15 mins early to prevent complications.
