If you have reached the taxable threshold, each payslip you receive while working with Host Staffing will show deductions for Income Tax and National Insurance.

At Host Staffing we are legally required to make these deductions from your pay.

Your Tax code is provided to Host Staffing by HMRC. Your deductions are calculated by HMRC and are not linked to Host Staffing. This means we cannot advise on, or make changes to, your tax code.

The deductions will be clearly displayed on the right-hand side of your payslip.

To avoid paying more tax than necessary and to avoid delays in processing your pay, we must receive your P45 (or a completed HMRC starter checklist) along with your National Insurance number before you begin working for any of our clients.

If you believe your tax code is incorrect on your payslip and you wish to change it, you must contact HMRC directly. You can contact HMRC directly on 0300 200 3300. We recommend you have your payslip handy as they may require information from your payslip.

You can also check your tax account and request a tax code change online: Check your Income Tax on gov.uk.

If you have overpaid tax, you can claim a refund from HMRC: Claim a tax refund on gov.uk.
