Is travel time paid?

Generally travel time for shifts is not paid for.

However, for some out-of-London events our clients may pay for travel one way or both ways, or add extra hours to your pay. This differs from client to client and the event you’re working at.

If the travel is paid, the amount will be clearly outlined in the job description and in your confirmation email.

For events outside London we will do our best to provide free transport - for example a staff coach - or an allowance towards your car or train travel.

PLEASE NOTE:

When we arrange transport for shifts outside London, delays can sometimes happen for reasons we cannot control, such as traffic. The transport is free of charge to you, but if it arrives late we sadly cannot guarantee full payment for the scheduled shift. Please keep this in mind when you accept a shift that includes free transport.

If you choose to make your own way it is advisable to plan your journey diligently and allow ample time for any unexpected delays.
