Safety boots are often referred to as steel toe cap boots or rigger boots, if you are working in a Kitchen, as well as a toe cap, we recommended shoes with a slip resistant sole.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans by hand or by loading into the dishwasher.
  • Removing and disposing of kitchen waste correctly.
  • Supporting the Kitchen team in basic food preparation. For example: cutting/ peeling and washing of food items, if required.
  • Putting away deliveries in the Kitchen.
  • Cleaning and sterilising of Kitchen areas including countertops, ovens, grills and sinks throughout service.
  • Thoroughly cleaning down the kitchen once closed ready for the next day.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Flexible to help in the Kitchen where required.
  • Knowledge of Kitchen Health and Safety.
  • A reasonable level of fitness, stamina and strength (e.g. to lift heavy equipment and work long hours)
  • Ability to walk, stand and bend for long periods of time.
  • Asked to complete Flow Training Modules in Food Allergens, Health and Safety & Food Safety level 1.
